| Officials at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee
announced that a new free-fly roller coaster called The
Joker is scheduled to open in spring 2017 in the park’s Yankee Harbor section next to Batman The Ride roller coaster.
Minimum height for THE JOKER is 48″ tall and maximum height for riding is 76″ tall |

| Drop of Doom VR | |
| From April 29th until Memoeial Day experience Drop
of Doom Virtual reality! Strap on your Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus and be transported to a whole new place. This Virtual Reality experience is unlike any other as you battle to save yourself and those around you from mutants who aim to bring your futuristic city to rubble. Reservations are required to ride. Reservation tickets are available at the attraction entrance. Reservations are limited and on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are not guaranteed in case of inclement weather or other unforeseen technical difficulties. You must be 13 years old to ride with VR. |

| Security and Ticketing changes | |
| The Ticket booths that used to be in the front of
the park is now the security area with the metal detectors!
The ticket counter is now towards the left of the entry area where the stroller rental used to be. You must first go through the metal detectors before you go through the entry turnstiles. |
